Ms. Spyder

Little Ms Fara put on her mascara waiting around for a call-along came Ms. Spyder and sat down beside her & ate her up fishnets and all! A Whimsical cabaret style theatrical show inspired by the children’s book Miss Spiders Tea Party.  All the animals have been invited to a raucous tea party by the infamous Ms. Spyder! Performed either with Molehill Orkestrah or The Mission Creeps-Total number of performers ranges from 12-20 Complete with stunning Multi-media and narrative component and an after set from the band!

 

 

The Radiance

RADIANCE explores the themes of the relationship between Man, nature, earth and stars.  The audience is invited into the rituals of a culture whose survival is dependent on mystical “star borne” creatures called KOKAPI.  Stilt-walkers, elaborate choreography, martial arts weaponry and the live drumming of DAMBE PROJECT create a work which has been described as transcendental and other worldly…Like a tribal ritual from another planet…”



The Monkey KingThe Door to the Gracious Kingdom is shut. But wait…the doors fly open and amidst blinding light – Hanuman, the Monkey King is ejected!!!  Poor sad monkey-how will he regain favor in the Celestial Realms? A tale ablaze with battles, magic fetishes, monsters & gods.  This epic pan-Asian tale of their great hero told in Flam Chen’s distinctive and vibrant style. Surrounded by a 60 ft semi circular flaming sculpture with 12 ft Doors of Heaven as the center line, original musical score performed by Molehill Orkestrah, acrobatic monkey army, butoh dance, puppetry and projections-15-25 performers.

In the aesthetic spirit of Jodorowsky’s El Topo and the classic spaghetti westerns.  We fuse stilt acrobatics, stage pyrotechnics, fire dancing, a strict dramaturlorgical thread of corporeal mime, theater tactic, dazzling live VJing from Antralhead & complete with a visit from the Ultimate Regulator-Sheriff Ya Ya -the 12 ft. tall, gun-wielding , fire lasso Peacemaker-who brings harmony back to the Chicken Sisters Ranch.   8-12 performers.
